Ministries

Make the Vision Plain

Charis Christian Church has a vision for all we want to include on Sundays and throughout the week. Though we do not offer every ministry at this time, in Habakkuk 2:2-3 it reads, “…Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” KJV

MEN’S MINISTRY

FISHERS OF MEN

Our vision for Fishers of Men is to build up godly men in Kingdom principles and help them apply truths of the Word of God to their lives. To help men take charge and be the spiritual leaders of their families.

The major plans we have for men’s ministry are to have weekly or monthly Bible studies, opportunities to build up the other ministry within CCC as a team, and hosting annual men’s retreats and conferences.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY

WOMEN OF GRACE

Our vision for Women of Grace is to help women live a victorious life in Christ in all areas such as spiritual, physical, emotional, and psychological. To help the women understand their spiritual roles in the home and family and step into them with power and joy.

The major plans we have for women’s ministry are to have weekly Bible studies, quarterly outreaches or opportunities to build up another ministry within CCC, and annual women’s retreats and conferences.

KID’S MINISTRY

CLUB 3:16 KIDS

Our vision for Club 3:16 Kids is to teach and train children in spiritual wisdom and to walk according to the Word of God, to lay hands on the sick, and to do great exploits for God. We are building up the next generation to be powerful Christians! The name we chose comes from John 3:16, representing God’s love he has for his followers.

The plans we have for kid’s ministry include weekly meetings during Sunday service and future Wednesday night services to overlap with adult and youth meetings, annual Vacation Bible School and summer camps, field trips, and special interest groups!

YOUTH MINISTRY

IGNITE YOUTH

Our vision for Ignite Youth is to guide the youth to walk according to the Word of God, to show them the power they have as Christians, and to ignite in them a passion to walk in the power and identity that God has given them. Training youth to evangelize and spread the Gospel.

Our plan is to have weekly youth group meetings as a Bible study or group activity that focuses on God, monthly we want to partner the youth ministry with the street ministry for evangelism training, annual youth conferences and retreats, as well as events and day trips to bond the youth in a Christ-centered community.

YOUNG ADULT’S MINISTRY

HEIRS YOUNG ADULTS

Our vision for Heirs Young Adults is to give practical application of the Word of God to them so that they can see the extreme relevance of the Word during this time of their lives. To help young adults connect with each other within a community of like minded friends, which will strengthen them to be able to withstand the onslaught of propaganda and persuasion that hits them daily. The name comes from Romans 8:17 which states, “And since we are His children, we are His heirs.”

We plan to host a weekly Bible study for Heirs, monthly game nights, annual retreats and conferences. We want to make opportunities for the young adults to serve in children’s and youth ministry, and spend time in the street ministry sharing the Gospel and healing the sick!

EVANGELISM

STREET MINISTRY

Our vision for street ministry is to get organized groups evangelizing in the area spreading the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. We are excited to see many salvations and healings, and to get people connected within the church so they can continue to learn about Jesus Christ and who they are as Christians.

We plan to have weekly street ministry meetings where a group will choose a place to go and start evangelizing there, and more frequent meetings when leading up to a healing crusade to reach and invite the sick or newly healed to learn more about God’s promise of healing. It is part of our vision to have the street ministry partner with and teach the other ministry groups in the church how to evangelize!

PERFORMING ARTS

SALT & LIGHT

The goal of Salt and Light is to share the Good News through the performing arts. To glorify God through talents and storytelling. To shine a light of hope through live entertainment. This is a ministry that is often overlooked, while confronted by an industry that is saturated with darkness.

We plan to hold annual Christmas play or musical productions, as well as annual Easter plays or concerts. Incorporating the arts into more areas of the church such as flags and dancing on Sunday mornings and in other services and events. We would also like to offer performing arts classes at Charis Christian Church open to any and all who want to attend, especially for those interested in auditioning for our Christmas and Easter productions!
